and social activity and, in general, the involvement of older citizens in

Project Summary |
Opening of a “Silver Entrepreneurship School” and a
Support Center in the Brest region on the basis of a branch of the State
Institution “Territorial Center for Social Services for the Population of the
Brest Region” and a Support Center, development of training programs to teach
older citizens the basics of entrepreneurial activity. Realization of the
potential of older citizens (labor, intellectual), development of silver
entrepreneurship, support of the active lifestyle of older citizens to
involve older citizens in the social, cultural and educational spheres of
society. |

Further activities at the end of the project |
In the Brest region there is a “School of Silver
Entrepreneurship” and a Center for Support of Silver Entrepreneurship” on the
basis of a branch of the State Institution “Territorial Center for Social
Services for the Population of the Brest District”. New groups for training
are being recruited. The developed programs are used to train older citizens
and people with disabilities in entrepreneurial activity. For Volunteers are
involved in conducting classes. |

The envisaged objectives during the project work |
1. Create conditions for training older citizens in
entrepreneurship in rural areas.; 2. Realize the potential
of older citizens through involvement in entrepreneurial, volunteer
activities, and organization of joint cultural leisure.; 3. To popularize and
disseminate experience in entrepreneurial activity among older citizens. |

Description of project activities |
1.Creation and equipment of the “School of
Entrepreneurship”; 2.Development of training programs for the courses:
“Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship”, “Fundamentals of Financial Literacy”,
“Fundamentals of Computer Literacy”; 3.Involving business mentors in the project to
provide information and consulting services; 4.Conducting psychological
training to improve the level of social adaptation for older citizens;
5.Conducting classes on psychological relaxation and stress relief; 6.Older citizens, as volunteers, take part in
organizing and conducting various socially significant events in the
institution: festivals, holidays, leisure and sports events, promotions,
exhibitions; replicate the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities among
their friends; if necessary, provide assistance to citizens receiving social
services in the form of social services at home, etc; 7.Organization of at least 6 cultural and leisure
events for project participants; 8.Conducting a “Best Business Idea” competition
among senior citizens; 9.Publication of the collection “Business ideas of silver
entrepreneurs of the Brest region”; 10.Creation of a Center for supporting
silver entrepreneurs and sharing experienc; 11.Conducting 3 conferences (with
the invitation of successful entrepreneurs of the older generation) to
popularize entrepreneurship and support business activity among older
citizens; 12.Conducting 2 motivational
meetings with entrepreneurs of the silver age; 13.Production and distribution of information
booklets and leaflets. |

Expected Result |
1. Increasing the level of integration of older
citizens into society through the use of the potential and experience of
older people. Receiving case technologies for doing business for at least 20
senior citizens.; 2. The possibility of creating new jobs, increasing
the competitiveness of older citizens in the labor market. Improving the
financial well-being of the target group. |
