The national youth patriotic forum “Citadel of Memory” kicked off in Brest on 20 June. The organizers received 211 applications to participate in the project. Students from 26 colleges and universities in Belarus and 24 universities in Russia (including from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ulyanovsk, Pskov, Belgorod, Penza, Yakutsk, and other cities) passed the selection stage. In total, about 190 participants took part in the final events. They laid flowers at the Eternal Flame in the Brest Fortress and observed a moment of silence to honor the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland.
